Tree condition assessment, instrumental testing, tree inventory and canopy inspection.
Every tree can be saved, but safety comes first. Request an expert opinion about your trees!
The condition assessment, also known as visual inspection, is the foundation of every tree examination. During this process we evaluate the main parts of the tree, its maintenance status, health condition and the environmental conditions affecting it. In most cases, the visual inspection already reveals the most important information.
The most frequently used instrumental test is the acoustic tomograph (3D Fakopp). It determines the size and location of cavities and decay within the trunk. The test produces a color image of the tree’s cross-sectional condition by measuring the speed of sound through the wood.
Static pulling test a laboratory-precision method, used to evaluate how stable a tree’s root system is under wind load or other external forces.
In the case of older, large-sized trees , much of the canopy is not visible from the ground, so certain defects or irregularities may remain hidden. In such cases, I access the canopy using rope access techniques , inspect it thoroughly, and if necessary perform instrumental testing at height.
A tree inventory is a detailed digital record of trees located in a given area, documenting their position, species, size, and health condition. Assessments are prepared in the Arbvie system to ensure precise and transparent data management.
If there is a tree on your property about which questions arise regarding its health or retainability .
If you would like to safely preserve an old tree so that future generations can also enjoy its benefits.
If you would like to know what intervention is necessary for your tree.
• If the tree is considered large in size, meaning its height and/or crown projection exceeds20 meters, and therefore the entire canopy is not visible from the ground.
• In cases wheredamage at height is suspected, such as broken branches or improper pruning, these issues must be identified and evaluated up close.
• Unexpected branch drop causes can be easily identified through canopy inspection. Hard-to-reach branches can be individually examined, preventing improper canopy management.
Certified Tree Inspector / Geographer
I obtained my degree at Szent István University at the Faculty of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences. Here I first encountered the holistic approach to nature, examining it as a unified and indivisible system.
Since 2015, I have been inspecting publicly located trees and recording them in tree inventories. During this time, I completed a Master's degree in Geography at Eszterházy Károly University and later obtained the qualification of Tree Inspector and Arborist Engineer .
My goal is to share my experience and perspective on trees so that we and future generations can live in a safe, green, tree-lined environment.
